A Wrinkle in TIME
Today marks the one year anniversary of my resignation from the only job I had ever known as a physician. By far, that resignation was the most difficult decision of my career. I was defeated, devastated, and completely devoid of direction as to what my next steps would be. However, I knew that I had to resign. I had to step out on faith.
I clung desperately to His promise in Romans 8:28. And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
This last year has been a glorious journey of trials and triumphs as I sought to find God's plan for serving Him and fulfilling my call to be a physician. In August of 2024, I opened the doors to a tiny wellness-based practice where I have rediscovered the joy of medicine and I haven't looked back.
Yesterday, I received the February issue of the Charlotte Medical Professionals publication in my mailbox. The spread on pages 24-25 struck me. God's timing is perfect. I had answered the questions for the article months ago and had no idea the publication would release on the anniversary of my "restart."
My career needed a wrinkle to launch Teague Internal Medicine and Enrichment, or TIME!
If God is calling you to take that step of faith, just jump. I can promise you that what God has in store is wildly more amazing that anything you can imagine.
Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen. (Ephesians 3:20-21)
